William T. Nolan passed away on January 1, 2020. He was 88 years old. William was born October 31, 1931, in Newark, New Jersey. He attended Marshall Grammar School, South Orange Junior High, and Columbia High School, Class of 1950. He attended Seton Hall University and graduated in 1954. He was a member of the varsity baseball team and was captain in 1954. He was named First Team All American for baseball, which was the first for Seton Hall. He was active in the Seton Hall Diamond Club and was inducted in the Seton Hall of Fame in 1975. He was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the Army and served for 2 years. He had a successful 34-year career in sales and was employed by RCA, GE and Harris Semiconductors. He retired in 1991. William was married to Jane Coddington in 1961 and had 5 children; William, Jr. (Julie), Mary-Helen “Mitzi” Bennett (Brian), Paul, Timothy, and Brian (Josefina); and 7 grandchildren Amanda, Michael, Matthew, Brendan, Paul, Isabela, Destiny; and cousin to Kathy Cosgrove. William was a wonderful son, brother, cousin, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend. He was devout in his faith, had a lifelong dedication to Seton Hall University, was a season ticket holder to the Angels and Los Angeles Kings. He was a teacher, mentor, coach and role model. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Mary and Cornelius, his uncle Bill, his aunt Mary, his brother Neal, his son Paul and his wife, Jane. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the vigil at Saddleback Chapel in Tustin, on Friday, January 10 from 5:00-9:00PM, Rosary at 7:00PM and a funeral mass at St. Cecilia Catholic Church at 10:00AM on Saturday, January 11, 2020.
