Synthia Laura Rodarte

Synthia was born in Fullerton, California on July 28, 1962, to Frank and Leticia De La Luz. She lived in Anaheim, attending Edison Elementary and St. Anthony Claret Schools and graduated from Katella High School. During her high school years she helped her parents at La Union, a small community market in Santa Ana. It was there that she met Jorge. Synthia and Jorge married in March of 1984. On the same day they were married, they also baptized their son Frank. Sons Jorge and Juan soon joined their family. Although, her first love was to care for her family, she also enjoyed her job. Synthia worked for the Orange County Register for over 30 years as an administrative assistant in various departments.

Synthia loved a good party and the occasional margarita. She loved different genres of music and loved to sing and dance to all of them. You knew she was enjoying the music because she would move her head and body even when she was sitting.

Unfortunately, in 2020 she was diagnosed with lung cancer. This didn’t slow her down. She worked, partied, helped anyone, and enjoyed her life. She loved spending time with her family and grandkids. Her biggest loves.

For four years she staved it off. She fought hard and had treatments in hopes that she would be healed. On the morning of May 29, she took her last breath with her boys surrounding her.

We’re going to miss her laughter, her ability to make someone feel special and loved; her virtues of TRULY loving, caring and listening. We will miss her beautiful smile and her sweet energy.

Synthia is survived by her husband Jorge, sons Frank, Jorge and Juan, daughter in law Jen, grandchildren, Michael, Sally, Layla and Juan Lorenzo.
