Scott Sears Pickford

Scott was the son of Nadene Kathryn Weltz Pickford, and Rollo Sears Pickford, Jr., born on July 2, 1959 in Pasadena, CA. He graduated from Foothill High School, Santa Ana, CA in 1977 and attended college at Cal State University Long Beach. He spent many years at his father’s company Thermeon Corporation, training and updating computer programs, before returning to the restaurant industry as a manager. He worked for Millie’s Restaurant and Bakery as well as Polly’s Pies. In his time away from work, he loved hiking, backpacking and camping, visiting Zion and Bryce Canyons, and driving around the country for many family reunions. He also spent most of his adult life playing handbells, and took several trips around the US and Europe with handbell choirs.

He was preceded to heaven by his father, and many aunts and uncles. His mother passed shortly after his death, joining together in the company of angles. He is survived by his wife and mother of his children, Carol Pickford of Santa Ana, CA; their children: Julie Pickford of Santa Ana, CA and Andrew Pickford of Tucson, AZ; sister Laura Sampson of Tustin, CA and brother Mike Pickford of Anaheim, CA as well as many, many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Donations in his memory may be given to the Bell Choir/Music programs at Red Hill Lutheran Church of Tustin, or St. John’s Lutheran church of Orange.
