Sarah Marie Mendoza Davenport

On November 15, 2022, beautiful Sarah Marie Mendoza Davenport, at the tender age of 15 was taken from us after an arduous battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme, a rare and aggressive brain cancer. Only 3% of children with this cancer survive one year and she beat the odds by six months. Since the inception from discovering the condition, true to her character Sarah remained brave. She always had a smile and continued to pursue her passions. She did not let the cancer stop her and while it may have slowed her down at the end, she never let her condition bring her down.

Sarah excelled academically and was involved in cross country, Mariachi, Jiu Jitsu, played in the school band and learned to play three different instruments. She was always loving and cheerful. Aside from her big beautiful bright hazel eyes, Sarah’s warm and amorous personality would always make those that were around her feel happy. Sarah held her cousins close to her heart. She would share her talents with them such as when she taught her cousins how to play the Ukulele. Sarah was a jovial and caring child. Her spirit and legacy of kindness, love and joy will remain with all of us that survive her.

She is survived by her mother Theresa, father Jeremy and brother Danny and a very loving family of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
