Sandy Montoya

She was born to Luis & Rebecca Acosta on April 13, 1956. As a young mother, she endured the challenges of raising a baby boy and proudly earned her diploma from Santa Ana High School.

She was a proud member of the law enforcement family for nearly 38 years as a Records Clerk with the Orange County Probation Department. Always the team player, she helped fundraise, drive, deliver and in any way possible towards the success of her departments’ Baker 2 Vegas Challenge Cup Relay team.

She loved to travel and to take long car rides along the coast. The ocean and beaches were her happy places and Seal Beach in particular. She loved spending time with family and friends and oftentimes in the kitchen preparing and serving her well-loved cheese enchiladas. She was often seen supporting her grandsons’ disease at walking and fundraising events for Cure SMA.

Sandy is survived by her two loving sisters, Cindy & Geri. She was a proud mother to her son, Rickk and daughter in law, Autumn and a loving grandmother to Juliet & Kennedy.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:30pm on November 21, 2023 at Saddleback Chapel 220 E. Main Street, Tustin, Ca 92780. Flower arrangements can be sent directly to the chapel. In lieu of flowers, you are welcome to make a donation to Cure SMA.
