Services for Roger Bown Our dear father, Roger Lee Bown, passed away at the age of 86 on Friday, March 31, 2017 seven years to the day that his wife and our mother passed away.Roger was born to Floyd Braithwaite Bown and Hannah Ethel Jenson on April 27, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah.He was an architect with heart and soul, having decided to follow this profession early in his youth. He graduated in architecture from the University of Utah in the first graduating class of that program, was sent by the Air Force to the UK for three years, and then settled permanently in the Los Angeles area with his family and there began his architectural career. He and his wife loved to travel and were regular patrons of the theater arts in Los Angeles.He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including serving as an LDS missionary in the UK. He served for many years as a temple worker in the Los Angeles LDS temple.He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Montgomery Bown, his father and mother, his brother Charles F. (Sonny) Bown and his sister Dorothy Bown OBrien.He is survived by his four children Michael F. (Marsha) Bown, Anthony J. (Shawna) Bown, Lisa (Brad) Lockhart, Allison (Cary) Nielsen, and his brother-in-law Gerald (Dorothy) OBrien, his 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren (with another expected in August).He will be missed here on earth, but his family is comforted knowing that he is reunited with his loved ones who have passed on before him.
