Robert Mckinley

Mike is survived by his wife, Linda McKinley, his children Robert Michael McKinley II, Elizabeth Rice and Gary Arch, his 7 grandchildren, Lauren McKinley, Michelle Russell, Kristi Ponce, Jake Rice, Scott Rice, Lilly Arch, Sadie Arch and 3 great grandchildren, Quinten Russell, Emmett Russell and Sterling McKinley

Mike was born on September 13, 1936 in Long Beach to Mary Jane & Robert Hawes McKinley. Mike attended Monrovia High School where he played on the football team and ran track. After graduating in 1954, Mike attended University of Redlands and then Cal State Long Beach where he received his Bachelor’s Degree.

After College, Mike began his professional career working for Murray Gardner Insurance Agency as an insurance Agent, eventually taking over the family business that is now known as BMR Insurance and instrumentally created three generations of family that would work in the industry since 1941.

Mike enjoyed boat racing, water skiing, snow skiing, riding dirt bikes and later became an avid golfer and could be seen out on the links weekly with his buddies.

His affection for people and the constant need to help others made him such a special person. People would ask him to help fix things and he was always right there to help.

He will forever be missed.
