Rob (Robert) Allan Knaggs, age 66, a resident of Yorba Linda, California passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025 after a short illness from cancer.

Rob was born on August 19, 1959 in Burbank California, the oldest of two children. When he was 11 years old his family moved from Burbank to Santa Ana, and eventually to Yorba Linda in 1984 when he purchased his home. He enjoyed a loving childhood and married Laura, his wife of 32 years, on October 2, 1993.

At 17 years old he started his lifetime career as a tree trimmer, and at age 21 started his own tree service, Rob’s Tree Service, which he owned and operated until his death. Always one for an adventure, he learned to surf, sail, skydive, and eventually became a licensed helicopter pilot, and fixed wing pilot, learning to fly fixed wing in a Pitts S2B. Never one to shy away from a challenge, he became a competition aerobatic pilot, travelling across the state to enjoy the sport. He also enjoyed motorcycles and competed in trial competitions for several years.

His friendship, loyalty, generosity, and steadfastness will be missed by the many friends he has had over the years, from the newest to the lifelong.

Rob will forever be missed by Laura (wife), Ryan (brother), Kelly, Kristy, and Makenna (nieces). He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Joan.

His amazing life will be celebrated on November 8th at Saddleback Chapel in Old Town Tustin, California.
