Richard Rockne Crowell

Richard "Rick" Rockne Crowell Richard (Rick) Rockne Crowell, 65, of Irvine, California died Tuesday, March 12, 2013. He was born July 1, 1947 in El Segundo, CA to Fran and Bill Crowell. He is the oldest of 3 brothers, Tom and Jim. Rick loved serving his community by taking leadership roles in his children's sports activities over the years. Most notably, he was the head of Northwood High School Boosters, along with the cameraman and statistician for their Varsity football team. Rick was also dedicated to his alma mater, El Segundo High School, where he was instrumental in creating and maintaining the alumni website and Facebook page. He was inducted into the El Segundo High School Hall of Fame in 2012 for his outstanding service to the community. His passion for helping his community was only surpassed by his love of his wife, Sharon and their two children. The couple married in Palos Verdes, CA in 1976. They enjoyed dining out with family and friends. They also enjoyed the movies and were known to see all the latest flicks. Rick and Sharon were dedicated to their children, whom they are survived by: their daughter, Tami Crowell and son, and daughter-in-law, Catherine and Casey Crowell.
