Richard (Dick) E. Wroble (93) of Tustin, California passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 16, 2024. Dick was predeceased by his wife Peggy and his parents Walter and Wanda. Dick is survived by his daughter Margaret DeJourdan and sons Richard Jr. and his wife Keta, Walter and his wife Nikki, and his youngest son James. He is also survived by his sisters Nancy Stone and Linda Ticknor. In addition he is survived by his grandchildren Nichole DeJourdan, Alisha Staiger, Tyler Wroble, and Kirsten Wroble. He was predeceased by his son Graham Tull, Ill and grandson Jason DeJourdan. Dick started out as a surveyor for the Army Corps of Engineers for our Nation's Highway System. Then he entered the Navy. After he was honorably discharged, he attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and graduated with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Dick then went to work for Autonetics and went through the progression as the name changed from Autonetics to North American Aviation to Rockwell to Rockwell International and finally Boeing. He worked in the Apollo program on the Saturn V Rocket which put men on the moon. His next project was on the design team for the Space Shuttle to transport materials to build the Space Station and release satellites. Before retirement, his last project was on the Lancer Variable-sweep Wing B1 Supersonic Deep Penetration Bomber. He was a family man and In his personal life, he was very active in the BPO Elks. He became Exalted Ruler after going through the chairs. After his term, he became a Past Exalted Ruler and was an advisor to many following the same path. He was the Lodge's Secretary for many years and became an Honorary Life Member of the Elks. Dick enjoyed "glamping" until he found cruising. He cruised with family and friends as well as leading groups from the Elks to places all around the world.
