Services for Richard E. Ouellet Richard E. Ouellet of Tustin, 85, went home to our Lord on June 22, 2015. Born in Los Angeles, Richard grew up in small railroad towns in the Mojave Desert. He was a Korean War veteran, proudly serving in the US Navy aboard the Carrier, Princeton. He worked for several Orange County companies as a technical writer before becoming a freelance writer. He spent over 30 years in various leadership rolls with the Boy Scouts and received the distinctive Silver Beaver Award for his service to youth and the community. His love of the outdoors was obvious by his hiking, camping, backpacking, sailing and gardening. He was a prolific reader and scholar of history. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Madeleine; three sons; Paul (Karen), Marc (Dawn) and John. Five grandchildren; Braden, Ryan, Michael, Sara and Taylor and sister; Cecile Ouellet. Richard is predeceased by his brother, Robert.
