Norma Moberg

Moberg, Norma Jean 79, died July 17, 2012 at home with her loving family by her side in Tustin, California. Norma was born "down Maine" in Belfast, Maine, on May 28, 1933. Her parents Marion and Roland Quimby precede her in death. Norma graduated from Framingham State Teachers College with her teaching degree, specializing in home economics. After five years of sweetheart letter writing, Norma married the love of her life, Robert Moberg. They lived in Michigan, New York and then settled in Orange County, California where they raised their three children and opened the RONO Flag Company. Together Norma and Robert loved to travel to Laughlin and Las Vegas, Nevada, selling flags, and enjoying video poker and having fun together. Norma touched many lives during her lifetime with her gentle kindness and humor. She played the piano in college and throughout her life. She was an expert at crocheting and knitting gifts for her family and friends. Norma and Robert celebrated their 57th year of wedded bliss on July 2nd. She is survived by her loving family; husband, Robert Moberg; children: Paul and wife, Margaret Moberg of Saratoga Springs, New York; Sue and husband, Wade Brown of Streamwood, Illinois; Lynn and husband, David Redden of Minot, North Dakota; five grandchildren: Robert, Stephanie, Lauren, Dylan and Garrett; her sister, Carolyn Lois Cormier and nephews Mark Engquist, Brian Engquist, Bruce Engquist, Doug Engquist and Matthew Engquist and their families. Norma lived a full life and enjoyed having family visit. Her requests were simple - for her family to be happy, love one another and be safe. She loved to work in her flower gardens where she grew roses and "Bill's bulb" lilies. She enjoyed entertaining her friends and family and was a great cook who made the best blueberry muffins! Come to a memorial celebration of Norma's life on Monday, July 23 at Saddleback Memorial Chapel, 220 East Main Street, Tustin, California, 92780, at 5:30pm.
