Nola Mary Berns

Funeral Arrangements Nola M. Berns, 93, of Tustin, CA passed away on January 10, 2013. She was born in Ford, KA on September 9, 1919 to Archibald and Emma Jones. She married her Air Force husband, Mark S. Berns in 1941; he preceded her in death in 1997. As a military wife, Nola made a home for her family in many places including Japan and Greece. She was a long time member of the OWLs (Officers Wives' League) and enjoyed many hobbies such as bowling, gardening and sewing. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she is survived by her four daughters and sons-in-law: Bondina Marsh Goldstein, Constance Jack Merillat, Donna Kenneth Keating, Patricia Dean May; nine grandchildren and spouses: Guy Saber, Bryan Jayme Saber, Nola Steven Stough, Dean Melissa May, Rex Keating, Ross Goldstein Krystal DeBiasio, Derek May, Scott Goldstein, and Drew May; and thirteen great-grandchildren; three brothers: Lavern Jones, LaVaughn Jones, and Leon Jones. Funeral Information Visitation and vigil services will be held at Saddleback Chapel, 220 E. Main Street, Tustin from 4:00 to 9:00pm on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, with the vigil services beginning at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass to take place at St. Joseph's Church 727 E Minter St Santa Ana, CA at 9:30am. Graveside Services at Riverside National Cemetery will be Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 1:01pm.
