Maricruz has 4 grandchildren, Henry Chavez V (H5) age 16, Robert Chavez (Robbie) age 13, Hailey Mellough age 16 and Logan Mellough (Logie) age 3.
Maricruz graduated from El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera California where she found the Love of her life, Henry. Maricruz then set her sights on higher education graduating from Rio Hondo in Whittier California with an Associate in Accounting. Then received her Bachler of Science in Accounting, from Cal State Los Angeles CA.
Maricruz worked many years in downtown Los Angeles, including the 53-story Sanwa Bank Building. For her lunch break she would attend daily mass at a local downtown chapel where she would assist the priest with the daily liturgy and was also a Eucharistic minister. Recently, was working for the City of Santa Ana CA as an accountant in the Parks and Recreation Department. Faith and family meant everything, her proudest and happiest moments was giving birth to her children and watching them grow and pursue their dreams, with Henry becoming an LA City Firefighter/Paramedic and her daughter Christina becoming an Occupational Therapist.
Maricruz was a person who donated to many charitable organizations and was always willing to help those in need.
~ Maricruz was the kindest and most genuine Christian Woman I have ever met. She truly lived her life as Jesus Christ asked us to live. Maricruz helped me follow the correct path as a Christian. I would ask her to bless me daily since I considered her a living Saint in my life. Maricruz, “The Love of My Life”, Rest in Peace, until we meet again in Paradise in Jesus Christ.

~ Mommy, there is nothing like a mother’s love and nothing like a mother’s touch. This world was such a wonderful place when you were in it. I pray and hope that I will raise my children up the way you raised me, you taught me so much good, including good morals, values and having a good foundation in our faith to name a few. Thank you for all you did for us. You were such a wonderful mom and grandma to my children. I am so thankful the Lord chose me to be your daughter. I love you so much mom and I will miss you so much. It gives me peace to know that you are back with the Lord our creator and he is taking care of you now.
Your baby, Christina
