Funeral Arrangements MARIANNE GAYLE BOUSE AKERLY June 29, 1943 - July 9, 2014 Brooklyn, New York She fought a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Marianne was born in Chicago and at a young age, her family moved to Orange County. Marianne graduated Rancho Alamitos High School, Garden Grove, in 1961. She also attended Mater Dei High School. Marianne graduated Fullerton College in 1964. While attending she was a member of Delta Alpha Nu chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority where she served as sorority President, Vice President and Secretary. Marianne, her husband Steve, and son Mike moved to Irvine where she was an active supporter of P.T.A., Scouts, and the Irvine Baseball League. Marianne worked many years for Burton Audiology and Sonus Hearing Care. She retired to enjoy more activities with her family and friends. At which time she made an exciting life changing move to Manhattan, New York to be close to her son and daughter-in-law. She was preceded in death by husband Steve Akerly of Irvine, parents Frank and Jerree Bouse of Garden Grove. Marianne is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Mike and Kate Akerly of New York. She is also survived by brother Tom Bouse (Patty), sister Jeri Bouse Stephens (Richard), brother-in-law Larry Akerly, and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Marianne was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will always be remembered for her caring heart, dry sense of humor and of course her infectious laugh. "Rest now until we meet again" Services will be held at Saddleback Chapel in Tustin on Saturday July 26th at 11:00 A.M. Viewing will be at the same location on Friday July 25th from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
