Maria Carmen Valdez

Carmen Valdez, 89, passed away on June 21, 2023, in Orange, California. She was born on November 20, 1933, in Riverside, California. Carmen, who preferred to be called by her middle name, was married to Jose Luis Valdez Sr. for 68 years and was a loving and wonderful spouse, mother and grandmother.

Carmen and her husband had a passion for traveling, dancing, and spending time with family. Carmen was also a 29-year member of the Santa Ana Emblem Club, # 530. She is survived by her four children: Evelyn Godinez (Richard), Kenneth Valdez (Steve Mack), Dr. Jose Valdez (Cyndi), and Rev. Yancey Valdez (Jill). She also leaves behind five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as two sisters and two brothers.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 1st, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Saddleback Chapel Mortuary, 220 E. Main Street, Tustin, California, 92780.
