Maria Briseño

Briseno, Maria Del Socorro (Suki)Born November 8, 1937 to Paulino and Juana Guerra. God granted her mercy and took her to eternal life December 1, 2017. She sat at the head of the table on thanksgiving with the pride of her life, her family. She was blessed with a long life, two beautiful daughters, Linda and Debbie (Pete Toomey); and four grandchildren, Jake, Jeff and Kendyll Toomey, and Sophie Dudley.Raised in Gardena, California with her brothers Richard and Felix Guerra and two sisters Lupe (Chavez) and Esther Guerra. Family life was austere but happy; very close to each other.Her mother died when she was 2 and her father left the family shortly after her death to seek work in Northern California, he never came back.Married in 1964 to Francisco "Frank" she led her family with the same values of faith in God, the treatment of others, and her love of her family she learned from her blessed grandmother, Porfiria Ramirez Alvarado.Suki left a legacy and she will be missed.Today as we say goodbye, our eyes brim with tears and sadness, however we know that she will be embraced by God.
