Leonor Bridges

Leonor Bridges was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. Born on March 1, 1924 to Rosa and Felipe Turich, she graduated from high school in Los Angeles and then went to work as a secretary for Dr. Hatfield for several years. She married Frank Bridges on May 21, 1955, and welcomed Al on June 2, 1956, Marc on November 13, 1957, Laura on December 21, 1960, and Frank on November 27, 1962. Added joys were her 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. 

Leonor was an avid gardener, reader, and crocheter. She loved family, friends, and chocolate! She was quick with a hug and always made time to listen when you needed a shoulder to cry on. She worked as a telephone operator at TAB, and as a secretary at Santa Ana Tustin Community Hospital, where she retired. But really, she lived for her family, for tamales at Christmas with the Bridges, Sotos, and Nietos, and that amazing stuffing at Thanksgiving. The Gardea girls all called her Tia Cookie because she was so sweet. She loved all of us so much and we will miss her greatly!
