Kimberly Richardson

September 9, 1956 — October 24, 2020

Kim is survived by her brother Scott, husband of 38 years, Todd, her two sons Ryan and Taylor, their wives Kristen and Brie, and her grandchildren Kaison and Troy.

Growing up; Kim was an air force brat and living in Germany for a period of time. While abroad her family traveled through Europe where she climbed to the top of the Leaning Tower of Piza, went on a gondola through the canals of Venice, walked through the colosseum in Rome, skied in Austria and the Black Forrest and spent time in Holland and Spain. Needless to say, she lived an adventurous life at a young age.

Kim lived a fulfilled life in many ways, but her true passion in life came from her children and family. Kim was a loving and dedicated wife and mother. She spent a lot of her time making sure her boys were spending time doing something they enjoyed; playing baseball and football. She could be seen driving her kids all over Southern California or hopping on a plane to Cooperstown, NY for baseball tournaments; no distance was too far for her to go for her boys.

Some of Kim’s fondest memories were made spending countless weekends at the river house in Parker and Blythe. She truly cherished those sun soaked, fun-filled and exciting times with the family on the water.

Kim was also known to be quite the social butterfly. She routinely scheduled weekly and monthly gatherings with her closest friends where she enjoyed trying new restaurants, going shopping (often overspending LOL) and live music. Kim’s love for country music was apparent in her frequent trips to concerts where she was infamous for snapping her fingers and doing her best to sing to the beat. Good thing she kept her day job, she lost her singing voice at an early age! Haha

Kim’s caring and kind heart was shown not just to her family, but in the many charities she supported. Helping others was always at the forefront of Kim’s heart and mind. She routinely donated to St. Jude’s Hospital and her church. She symbolically adopted a child through World Vision and when she was able to she dedicated her time and efforts to helping those in the community that were less fortunate.

Even though many of Kim’s final years were a battle, she found peace in knowing her family was by her side every step of the way.
