USMC Capt. John Kenneth Bajorek, Jr. was born to John and Mary Bajorek on February 18, 1944 and passed away on January 27, 2026, but every day in between was spent living a fully blessed life, a life spent in service to others.

John grew up in Ohio, was an Eagle Scout, and played trumpet while attending St. Joseph's High School. He graduated from Kent State University prior to joining and serving in the United States Marine Corps. Though his tenure as an active Marine lasted 5 years, he was a decorated A-4 Skyhawk captain and he forever cherished his beloved Marine Corps.

In the early 1970's, John relocated to Irvine, California, became a father to Johnny, and began a career in real estate before founding his appraisal business, Action Appraisers. In 1980, John met Pattie and her son Erik. In February 1981, John and Pattie wed, bringing their families together. Soon after, they welcomed their son, Michael, to the world, followed by their youngest son, Daniel.

An incredibly devoted son, husband, father, and friend, John loved numerous leisure activities including scuba diving, boating, and golfing. He enjoyed working around the house and could fix anything and was incredibly skilled at talking to anyone about everything. As a father, he enjoyed volunteering his time to coach his sons in baseball and was a soccer referee for 18 years. He was always his sons' biggest fan.

Ever the provider, he seized every opportunity to give the best experiences to his family and friends. He loved Lake Tahoe, building his dream home and retiring there with his wife. All were welcomed in their home and he loved seeing his sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren play around the Tahoe house and experience his favorite place on Earth. In the search for Heaven on Earth, John found it in Lake Tahoe, drinking wine and enjoying the view with his wife.

On January 27, John peacefully passed in the presence of his family with his wife holding his hand. In passing, John leaves behind Pattie, his loving and caring wife of nearly 45 years, his four sons, three daughters-in-law, and eight grandchildren. He moves into eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, leaving all who knew him with many lasting fond and funny memories.

We will all miss his laugh and his stories and his sons will forever miss John's never-ending need to offer his advice and his desire to always be Dad. All who knew John knew a great man who lived a life filled with love of God, family, and the desire to serve all. May he rest peacefully in Heaven.

John will be put to rest with the rendering of Military Funeral Honors at 10:30 AM on March 12th, 2026 at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, 7845 Santiago Canyon Road, Orange, CA 92869. Following the service at the cemetery there will be a 12:00 PM reception at Park Paseo Clubhouse, 25 Christamon West, Irvine, CA 92620.
