James C. Perkins

James C. Perkins, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025, in Irvine, California. Born on October 13, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois, James dedicated over 20 years of his professional life as a machinist for International Paper. His career was marked by commitment and perseverance, reflecting the traits that defined him.

James had a personality that could light up a room. He was a determined individual, often characterized as having the strength of a bear, and his laughter was infectious, especially when he would amuse himself with his own jokes. Those who knew him found comfort in his unwavering support; he was the one who stood by them when life felt overwhelming. James cherished his family above all, treating friends with that same love and protection.

His greatest pride came from the birth of his two sons, Tristan and Troy and his two daughters, Micah Brass and Harley Rainbow. He also took notable pride in the journey of buying his first home and celebrating over 26 years of marriage to his lovely wife, Tennille Perkins. James's devotion to his family was paramount; his love for them soared higher than any mountain, and he took great joy in creating memories, whether by riding motorcycles with his boys or shooting pool with family and friends.

James is survived by his wife, Tennille Perkins, his two sons, Tristan Perkins and Troy Perkins, his mother, Mary Dudley, his brother, Toma Knight, his sister, Donna Palmer, his aunties, Bernice Walker and Wanda Franklin, along with two nieces, one nephew, one great nephew, and a host of cousins on both sides.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Georgia Perkins, his uncle, John Perkins, and his mother-in-law, Marilyn Denson. The impact James had on those around him will be fondly remembered, and his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.

A funeral service to honor James C. Perkins will be held on August 30, 2025, at Saddleback Chapel, located on at 220 E Main St, Tustin, California. The service will begin at 12:00 PM and conclude at 2:00 PM. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
