Irene Noguchi

Irene Lopez Noguchi passed away peacefully in Santa Ana, California on January 7, 2018 at the age of 81. She is survived by her son, Al Rocha, daughter, Rita Coburn, son, Shigeharu Cash Noguchi, and son, Ben T. Noguchi. Irene is also survived by her brother, Robert Galvez and sister, Arlene Carpenter and was preceded by the death of her brother, Sal Galvez, her husband Shigeharu “Shig” Noguchi and parents Sal and Hortense “Lilly” Galvez. Irene has four grandchildren, Kristy Coburn, Steven Rocha, Shigeharu “Cash” Noguchi Jr., and Madison Noguchi. She was preceded by the death of her grandson Michael Coburn. Irene has two great grandchildren, Kaia Coburn and Lilliana Jane Rocha.Irene was born in Maywood, California on November 3, 1936 to Hortense Lopez and Salvador Serano Galvez. Irene spent her youth working on the family farm in Vista, California. She married Alfonso Rocha in 1952 and had two children, Al Rocha and Rita Rocha. She divorced in 1964 and worked as electronics assembler at Hughes Aircraft in Oceanside, California. Irene married Shig Noguchi on August 31, 1968 and had two children, Shigeharu Cash Noguchi and Ben T. Noguchi. Irene and Shig relocated to Anaheim, California and she remained a wife, mother and homemaker for the remainder of her life. Shig, her husband of 30 years, passed away on May 14, 1999 in Anaheim, California. Irene was of Christian faith and loved her Lord Jesus Christ and attended Calvary Chapel Anaheim until she was physically unable to do so.Irene’s funeral is scheduled for January 21, 2018 12:00 p.m. at Saddleback Chapel in Tustin, California. Her final resting place will be with her husband Shig Noguchi at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California. A private service will take place on January 26, 2018. Shig served the United States Army during World War II and Korea.Irene was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
