Funeral Arrangements Gregory Amendola, 89, of Anaheim went to be with our Lord on June 14th, 2012. He was born on March 7th, 1923 in New Haven, Connecticut, son of Luigi and Matilde Amendola of Amalfi, Italy. Greg served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Campaign. Upon return, he married Caroline Moniello and moved to Southern California in 1947. Greg worked as a postal carrier before joining Hughes Aircraft where he retired after 39 years of dedicated services. During his life he was a member of the Sons of Italy of America , a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America, and actively involved in his church. Carol and Greg settled in Garden Grove in 1960. Carol passed away in 1987. Greg met and married Teddy McDermott in 1989. They enjoyed their lives together until Teddy passed away in 2005. Greg met Lois Robillard while living in Emerald Court, Anaheim, and they married in 2010. Greg is survived by his wife, Lois; his brother, Sal; his sisters Theresa and Louise; his four sons and their wives, Greg and Lori, Lou and Sandy, Mark and Linda, and Ron and Sandy; eight step children, ten grandchildren and many step grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. Services to remember Greg will be held on Wednesday, June 20th at Saddleback Chapel Mortuary in Tustin. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 21st at 11:00 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Anaheim. Greg will be interred at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Greg's favorite charity, Boys Town of Nebraska (www.boystown.org). Funeral Information Visitation on Wednesday, June 20th from 4 pm to 8 pm, Rosary at 7pm, at Saddleback Chapel in Tustin Services on Thursday, June 21st at 11 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Anaheim. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange.
