Gary Shippy

Gary Paul Shippy of Tustin, California passed away June 8, 2020 Gary died at home surrounded by love with his wife Teresa, of 35 years at his side. Born January 2, 1951 in Los Angeles, California the youngest child of Paul and Margaret Shippy. He attended Saint Alphonsus School from 1656-1964, and then Cantwell Sacred Heart of Mary High School from 1964-1968. He made life time friends who visited Gary through his last days, sharing stories and laughter. Gary graduated California State Long Beach in 1972 with a Bachelor Arts Degree and a Major in Psychology. Over his career he enjoyed employment among many dear coworkers at GMAC, Parsons Engineer/ Construction and Fluor as project manager. In 2000, Gary earned a MBA from California Pomona College. Gary Shippy was a lover of great meals with lively conversations. He enjoyed his numerous close friendships, golfing, and going to see live music. Gary is survived by his wife Teresa, sisters Pat Moran and Carol Hundley, and his niece Leslie Layman. Gary loved life and was loved by so many friends and family. A Celebration of Life is planned for the near future.
