Frances Jane Rounsavell, lovingly known as "Janie," passed away peacefully of natural causes on May 14, 2025, in Lake Forest, California, at the age of 89.

Born on January 29, 1936, in Minnetonka, Minnesota, Janie lived a full and vibrant life marked by laughter, adventure, and a boundless love for animals and people alike. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Rounsavell, and her cherished pets—Taj, Sasha, Dutchie, Midnight, Cassie, and Ricco—who brought her endless joy and companionship.

Janie was a whirlwind of energy and the consummate life of the party. She had a magnetic spirit and a zest for life that lit up every room she entered. Her hobbies included traveling the world, riding her bike, taking long walks with her dogs, gardening, hosting unforgettable parties, talking politics, and volunteering her time at local animal shelters—a cause deeply close to her heart.

Her legacy is one of enthusiasm, fun, and compassion. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Graveside services will be held at El Toro Memorial Park on June 21st at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the remarkable life of Janie Rounsavell.
