Edward Menchaca, age 65 passed away peacefully Thursday January 14, 2021 at A1 Residential Care Center in Placentia. He was born June 14,1955 in Los Angeles. He is the third son of Senaido (Nayo) and Henrietta (Kay) Menchaca. He is a 1973 graduate of Whittier High School. He worked as a Quality Control Inspector in the Aerospace industry for over 25 years. He was passionate about ensuring the work he inspected met all specifications. He would frequently talk about the jobs he inspected and how he helped to make improvements. Next to his family and friends he loved fishing and animals. In his youth he brought home several odd creatures; a snake, iguana, tadpoles we caught in the San Gabriel River that grew into frogs and subsequently were jumping around our garden for a while, domestic rats and a guinea pig. In recent years he seemed to be happiest sitting on the bank of a lake fishing with his sister Julie and brother Rick or jumping on an overnight boat and landing a nice yellowtail or yellow fin tuna.
Out of love and respect for Edward’s large extended family, during the COVID-19 pandemic, services will not be held at this time. The family has asked anyone who would like, post your thoughts and memories of our loving brother on this site
