Dennis Ruiz

Dennis Merle Ruiz or as he called himself, “Dennis the Menace” passed away June 21, 2018 in Los Angeles. Dennis was born April 6, 1952 to Isabelle Ayala Ruiz and the late Alfonso Cerda Ruiz in Orange, California.Dennis attended school in Santa Ana, graduating from Santa Ana Valley High School in 1971. Dennis is survived by his wife Terry, his sons, Jose “Joey”, Dennis “Bobby” Jr., and Julian; brothers, Allan and Kevin; and sister Erin Ruiz-Arzate; five grandchildren, Natalie, Daniel, Tatiana, Aliana, and Brayden and many other cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.Dennis embraced life and enjoyed family and friends. He enjoyed talking about motorcycles and was always doing something! Each one of us will remember Dennis as a thoughtful and caring person, who despite life’s curveballs, always came up smiling.Friends and family are welcome to attend the visitation and rosary on Friday, July 13 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Saddleback Chapel, 220 E. Main Street, Tustin, California. The rosary will be said at 7:00PMA funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 14 at 11:00 p.m. at the Saddleback Chapel with burial to follow at Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 E. Fairhaven, Santa Ana.Immediately following the burial, family and friends will gather at Erin’s residence for a reception, celebrating “Dennis the Menace”. A map will be provided to those at the mass and burial.
