Dallas Dale Bain

Funeral Arrangements Bain, Dallas Dale passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2014 in Tustin, CA. Dale was born in Fagus, Missouri on June 10, 1927 and graduated from Southeast Missouri State College in Cape Girardeau, MO in 1950 with a B.S. in Education. He served in the U.S. Navy and was on board the U.S.S. Missouri when the Treaty for WWII was signed. Dale married Alice Jean Kershaw in 1963 in Santa Barbara, CA. He worked for Prudential Overall Supply for over 50 years, first as private pilot to the company owner and then as Personnel Director. He was still working for Prudential until the day before his death at the age of 87. Dale was an airplane pilot and instructor, a teacher who taught classes in mathematics, accounting and shorthand, was a talented photographer who graduated from the New York Institute of Photography, and a self-taught tailor who sewed many of the family's clothes. He is survived by his wife, Alice Jean Bain; son, John Dale Bain; and grandson, Stephen Dallas Kish. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Katrina Jean Kish in 2006. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 20 from 5pm to 9pm at Saddleback Chapel Mortuary, Tustin. Service and burial will be at Riverside National Cemetery, Thursday, August 21 at 12:45pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Air Medical Memorial, P.O. Box 842, Castle Rock, CO 80104 in honor of his daughter Katrina, a flight nurse who died in an air medical crash.
