Celedonio Melendez Maldonado

Celedonio Maldonado passed away on July 10, 2021 at the age of 90, in Santa Ana, California. Celedonio was born on April 3, 1931 in Dorado, Mexico, a small town outside of Chihuahua. He was one of fourteen children born to Francisco and Regina Maldonado. He moved from Mexico to the United States in 1954. Celedonio is survived by his wife of 62 years, Maria Aurelia Maldonado and his children Lillian French, Jaime Maldonado and Marissa Maldonado. He has six grandchildren Addison French, Aaron French, Maya Idema, Noa Idema, Kuba Maldonado and Diego Maldonado who loved him dearly. He was an exemplary friend and neighbor in Boyle Heights, Rowland Heights and Santa Ana. He was a big fan of the LA Lakers and the LA Angels and Dodgers and loved tending to his flowers, trees and vegetable gardens. Memorial services to celebrate the life of Celedonio Maldonado will take place on Thursday, July 22nd at the Saddleback Chapel in Tustin (5:00p-8:00p) and on Friday July 23rd at the Christ Cathedral in Orange (10:00a).
