Barbara Power Barbara Power whose life on earth, a life that brightened all of ours ended on February 16, 2016 after a long and courteous battle against leukemia, she is survived by her two sons, Brian and Mark, and her close and loving family. Her daughter Dru, died on Christmas day, 2012.Barbara was born on Jan 24, 1934. Her loving parents were Dorothy and John Young, long time residents of Orange County. Barbara went through the Orange school system. Soon after graduation, she married Druary Danker and gave birth to Mark and Dru. At a very young age, her husband Druary died in a tragic car accident. Barbara later married Homer "Bud" Power, a United States Marine. Bud, Brian's father, passed away in 1988. Bud and Barbara performed the amazing feat of moving a large, luxurious home from the San Fernando Valley to its final resting place on Prospect Avenue in Tustin. This was to be Barbara's happy and comfortable home for the rest of her life.She had a long career with Stater Brothers markets, and worked tirelessly for the care of her family. Sweet Barb, as she was known by her many friends and co-workers, died peacefully at the age of 81.She brightened the lives of everyone that knew her. She will be greatly missed.Please come join us as we celebrate her life this Monday, at 11:30 am, Fairhaven Memorial Park. (1702 Fairhaven Avenue, Santa Ana, Ca 92705 714 633-1442) There will be a gathering at the Power residence immediately following the service and all are welcomed to join us.Those of us that survived her, and loved her so very much, hope that after we pass away, she will be waiting for us, and we will be with her again. She will live on in the hearts of her sons, Mark Danker and Bryan Power (Debbie), sister, Brenda Wilson (Harry); niece, Paige Lovell (Lance) and their children, Jacob and Emily, grandchildren Shauna, Matthew, Alicia, Mary, Matthew Jr., and loving friends, Roger, Shirley, and Chiyoko.
