Aurelia S Reyes

Aurelia S Reyes, 99, of Garden Grove, entered heaven's gates on August 14, 2024. She was born to Manuel and Audelia Silva on February 15, 1925 in Delta, CO. She spent her formative years working the farmland amongst her parents ten siblings as well as assisting the town's doctor. On December 31, 1951, she made her permanent move to Southern California from Colorado and soon after she met the love of her life, the late Geronimo Reyes. They wed on May 16, 1952. During her life in Orange County, she was heavily involved in St. Anne Church in Santa Ana under the direction of Monsignor Campbell in several roles including eucharistic minister and the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry.

She willingly volunteered her time with the elderly community as a personal care aide and companion to those in need.

She is survived by two siblings: Dora Rodriguez and Eugene Silva, three children: Rosemary Romero, Margie Vega, and John Reyes: her son-in-law Joe and her daughter-in-law JoAnn. She is additionally survived by thirteen grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held August 30, 2024, at 10 AM at St. Anne Church in Santa Ana with burial to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange.
