Antonius T Hermanto

Antonius Hermanto, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, concluded his journey on earth and moved to a better place on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at the age of 74.

He was born in Banjarmasin, Indonesia on March 9, 1951, the youngest of 7 siblings. Growing up, he loved spending time with his siblings, playing flute and harmonica, and listening to music. He was also known to be studious and hardly got in trouble. The journey of his life includes living in Germany for 10 years where he studied pharmacology and became a pharmacist, got married in 1975, and became a father of two a few years later. He moved back to Indonesia in 1982, to pursue his career and dreams. For the next 10 years, he worked as a pharma sales rep travelling throughout South East Asia and India, and also opened up a local pharmacy store. In order to provide a better future for his children, he sacrificed a comfortable life and moved his family to the United States in 1992. The last 30+ years have been quite a journey, filled with challenges, accomplishments, making new friends, opening his own tropical fish store, being a pharmacist again, being one of the key contributors for the Indonesian Catholic Community in Orange County, and becoming a grandpa.

Some of his passions were playing table tennis during lunch time at work, reading tech-related articles, DIY-ing around the house, a need to have a good quality sound system, taking cruises around the world, leading bible study, praying rosary, and attending daily mass.

Antonius is survived by his wife, Rosita; children, Mark (Flora) and Charlotte (Greg); & granddaughter, Chloe. He was deeply loved by his family and friends. He will always be remembered as the most well-dressed in the room, regardless of occasion, hard-working, full of patience, spiritual, and a man of few words.

The viewing services will be held at Saddleback Chapel Mortuary, Tustin CA on April 4th and April 5th between 10AM - 2PM.

His celebration of life will be held at St. Cecilia Church, Tustin CA on April 26th at 10AM.
