Allen Edoff was so much more than a United States Marine. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and in recent years, a great great- grandfather. He was the heart and soul of every life he touched. On March 20, 2025, Our Lord called him home. His spirit, love, and laughter will forever echo in our memories.

Born on October 12, 1920, Allen’s long and richly woven life was filled with moments of profound service, personal connection, and a depth of love too difficult to put into words.

It was during his early days in the Marines that fate brought him together with his soulmate, a fellow Marine whose strength and grace matched his own. Their meeting during intense training blossomed into a love story that carried them through life’s challenges. They shared a magical weekend pass that set the stage for a wedding unlike any other—with a cab driver as the best man and the judge’s secretary standing as the maid of honor, every detail of that day mirrored the wonderfully unconventional and deeply heartfelt nature of their union.

Allen’s legacy stretches far beyond his military accomplishments. His kindness, humor, and thoughtfulness made him a beacon of warmth for his four children, his many grandchildren, and his adoring great-grandchildren. Every family gathering was filled with his stories and gentle reminders that love, in all its forms, is what truly makes life rich. His friendships, especially with his fellow Marines—a bond so beautifully captured in the reflective piece from The OC Register—served as a reminder that the ties we build in service extend well into the tapestry of our lives.

As we grieve the loss of Allen, we also celebrate the indelible mark he left on our hearts. The love he inspired and the laughter he shared will remain with us always, a testament to a life lived fully and generously. We miss him dearly, but in every loving memory and every warm smile shared among family, his spirit lives on.

Now, in the most beautiful reunion, Allen has rejoined his beloved bride of 67 years, Jeri in heaven—an eternal tender embrace that reflects the extraordinary, loving bond they shared in life.

Rest in peace, dear Allen; your love, laughter, and kindness continue to light our way, and you will always be tremendously loved.
